By Jim Day
For the fourth year in a row, Liberty Productions will present Charles
Dickens Classic A Christmas Carol
live on stage at Francis Howell Central
High
School Auditorium on Thursday and Friday, December 17th and 18th at 7 p.m.,
and on Saturday, December 19th at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. (Francis Howell
Central High School is located at 5199 Highway N., in St. Charles, MO, 63304.)
Liberty
Productions is a community theater group that has been providing
family-friendly entertainment for eight years. Past plays have included The Boys Next Door, I Remember Momma, Father of
the Bride, and Hound of the
Baskervilles.
Liberty
Productions started as an outreach ministry of Liberty Christian Church in
O'Fallon, MO back in 2000 according to Dave Wilson, this years’ Director.
According to Wilson, “We’ve grown from a small cast to over 45 people,
including cast members from other churches, in some 60 roles in the play with
the expressed purpose of the ministry being to provide quality family friendly
entertainment and give people an opportunity to hear a brief Gospel message at
the end of the play.” Wilson continued
by stating, “Our plays provide an excellent opportunity to bring friends and
family members to enjoy a great show and hear the Gospel message in a
non-threatening environment. What better way to share the good news of Jesus
Christ than through a play about the redemption of Ebenezer Scrooge.”
All
performances are free and open to the public with seating on a first-come,
first-serve basis. However, due to limited seating, tickets for all performances
are recommended and those with tickets will be admitted prior to those without
tickets. I highly recommend that folks secure their admission tickets as soon
as possible. For tickets, directions or more information visit Liberty Production’s
website at www.LibertyProductions.org or call Dave Wilson at (636) 734-7870
or (314) 581-1382.
