All Active Military, Police & Firefighters Are Asked to Become an Oath Keeper - Now!

     Let me tell you about Oath Keepers, not as an official spokesman but as a member since April of 2009. I cannot speak for Stewart Rhodes who founded Oath Keepers in March of 2009, but I can speak as a kindred spirit who loves America and the freedom and opportunity it has always provided me.
    Oath Keepers is a non-partisan organization of active and reserve military and law enforcement people and veterans of the military and law enforcement fields, as well as firefighters and other careers that require the oath. Lots of people are required to take the oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic” but not all who take the oath really keep the oath.
    This Oath Keeper is actively working to help military, law enforcement, and many other public servants to understand what the oath means and what the Constitution we swear to support and defend actually says. Stewart Rhodes who founded Oath Keepers is an ex-paratrooper, a disabled veteran, an ex-firearms instructor, and a Yale educated constitutional attorney. I am not a man of letters myself but I have no problem understanding the Constitution because the language is plain, the meaning is not elusive (especially if you read some of our Founders other writings) and it fits in a small pocket sized booklet that I can carry in my shirt pocket wherever I go.
    As a Vietnam veteran who agonized through the Lt. William Calley affair in My Lai, I am well aware that the phrase “I was just following orders” is not an excuse for doing anything that you know is not right. Even if you believe that what you are doing is right, you have to be prepared to face charges and defend everything you did. The 10 orders that we will NOT obey as Oath Keepers are 10 orders that under our Constitution would convict us of violating the rights of American citizens if we obeyed them. Oath Keepers are proud to say that we “would stand down and not obey those orders” and our desire is to educate our active military personnel, as well as those in law enforcement and fire fighting to the fact that they should take the same stand. How to Take Back America Conference Sept. 25 & 26

     I’ve put on several hundred conferences in the past, and I believe the ‘How To Take Back America Conference’ is the most important conference I’ve ever sponsored.  America is in danger, and we must give the grassroots the tools and talking points so we can stop our nation’s rush into Socialism.
    Due to grassroots criticism of Obama’s proposed takeover of the health care industry, his policies are now on the defensive.  Even the New York Times admits that he has had little response to the 13 million emails he sent out and his appeal to his supporters to have House Meetings to promote government health care.
    Most of the people going to the congressional Town Hall Meetings and to Tea Parties to speak up against Obama’s socialist and spending policies are first-timers.  This shows that ordinary Americans are waking up to what is going on in Washington!
    Eagle Forum’s leaders and members (with our 38-year record of reliability on policies and on strategy) must lead the way to stop Obama from “remaking America.”  This year’s Eagle Council is designed to train activists to take on the duty of rebuilding the conservative movement from the grassroots up.
    The unique feature of this How To Take Back America Conference will be 24 “How To Workshops” led by experts in their fields.  We will have Workshops on “How To” deal with the issues we care about and on “How To” use 21st-century techniques to organize and win on those issues.

    I've recruited War Hero Lt. Gen. Boykin to address the dangers of Radical Islam, after a big welcome from our host committee on Friday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. Then Dr. Rick Scarborough will address why ‘Enough is Enough: it's time to take action!’
    Dinner on Friday, Sept. 25 will feature Rep. Steve King, a recent recipient of The Club for Growth's Defender of Economic Freedom Award, and Rep. Tom Price, M.D., a defender of health care freedom.
    At lunch on Saturday, Sept. 26, I will introduce Rep. Michele Bachmann, a rising star in the conservative movement, who will be the featured speaker and share how conservatives can win in 2010.
    Rep. Tom McClintock will share how he's fighting back against Obama’s plans to take America into Socialism while plunging the next generation into incredible debt. Mike Huckabee will catch a flight from New York City after taping his Fox TV show to close the conference on Saturday night.
