The Family Vision Library, located at 516 South Fifth Street in St. Charles, MO (63301), will present another popular Children’s Story Hour from 10 until 11 a.m. with a special guest presenter for the month of September. The Family Vision Library, located at 516 South Fifth Street in St. Charles, MO (63301), will host a Friday Night Singles Social-Coffee House-Discussion Group from 7 until 9 p.m. This is open to young people 18 years old and up and will be a great way to meet other Christian young people and to engage the culture with a Christian Worldview. September 19

Show Me Patriots will host a meeting with special guest speaker Marine and patriot Paul Curtman who will be speaking on the 2nd Amendment and the Constitution. The meeting will be held at Pillar In The Valley which is located at 229 Chesterfield Business Parkway in Chesterfield, MO (63005) from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend and become informed, motivated and activated to work with fellow patriots to take a stand against tyranny and for our Constitutional Republic. Show Me Patriots will host another meeting on October 10th from 2:30 to 4:30 at Pillar In The Valley with a special guest speaker yet to be announced. CrossRoads Christian Counseling will host an evening of celebration entitled Meet Me At The CrossRoads featuring live performances by Peculiar People, Randy Mayfield, and Improv Trick from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Pillsbury Chapel-Dale Williams Fine Arts Center on the campus of Missouri Baptist University. The Family Vision Library, 516 South Fifth St. in St. Charles, MO (63301), will present a week-long Institute in Basic Life Principles DVD seminar with Dr. Bill Gothard as the instructor and John Thrower as the facilitator. The series will touch on resolving and avoiding conflicts with family members, co-workers and friends, helping people to know God’s will for decisions they make, how to deal with sin and bad habits and much more. The instruction focuses on seven Biblical principles and is designed to help you learn to view all of life from God’s perspective. October 6

Dillon International, Inc., will present a free informational meeting on International Adoption from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Dillon International office, One First Missouri Center, Suite 115, in St. Louis. A Dillon representative will give an overview of adoption from China, Korea, Haiti, India, Hong Kong, Ethiopia, Russia and Honduras. New opportunities in Ghana and Nepal will also be discussed. Family Shield Ministries will hold their 15th anniversary Celebration Dinner at Ascension Lutheran Church, 5347 Donovan Ave. in St. Louis, MO (63109) starting at 5:45 p.m. The theme of this years’ dinner will be Changing Hearts, Changing Lives (Psa. 28:7a) with Rev. Roger Sonnenberg as the featured speaker. Those attending will enjoy a catered meal, hear what God is doing in and through the ministry, have an opportunity to support the ministry with a donation (to cover the meal and support the ministry), and enjoy Christian fellowship. Citizens for Educational Freedom will celebrate 50 years of fighting for and promoting parent’s rights in education at the Hilton St. Louis Frontenac Hotel. The banquet will honor Mae and Martin Duggan, co-founders of Citizens for Educational Freedom, and feature Joseph Bast, President and CEO of the Heartland Institute who will address the topic of School Choice: Past, Present, and Future. Hope Lutheran Church, 1975 Old US Hwy. 94 South and Pralle La. in St. Charles, MO will host their Third Annual Trivia Night starting at 7 p.m. to benefit the continued clinic construction at the House of Hope Haitian Children's Orphanage in Haiti. The cost is $160 per table of eight or $20 per person. The event will feature raffles, door prizes, Haitian crafts, a silent auction and snacks. Corporate and individual sponsors are still welcomed. The Family Vision Library will host a Father and Son Prayer Breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at the Columns Banquet Center, 711 Veterans Memorial Parkway in St. Charles, MO (63303) with special guest speaker Israel Wayne of Wisdom’s Gate Ministries in Michigan. The theme will be Becoming Men of Courage. The cost to attend is $22 per person with a family maximum of $66.
