On May 31st from 4 to 6 p.m. in St. Louis University’s Chaifetz Arena, Christians from area churches, high schools, colleges, youth groups, and ministries will meet to lift up the name of Jesus during the Global Day of Prayer.  Anyone who believes the Apostle’s Creed is invited to come and participate in this worldwide prayer effort. This year’s Global Day of Prayer will include opportunities for liturgical, responsive, small group, and silent prayer, as well as vibrant praise and worship.  The following 90 Days of Blessing will be focused on helping St. Louis’ homeless through the ministries of the St. Patrick Center and Habitat for Humanity.  For more information regarding the St. Louis Global Day of Prayer visit their website at www.praystl.org or call (314) 783-0078.

The Family Vision Library, located at 516 South Fifth Street in St. Charles, MO will offer their popular Introduction to Residential Plumbing Course each Monday from 10 to 11:15 a.m. This course is designed for students 8 to 80.  If you are looking for a good way to introduce yourself or your children to basic plumbing skills this 7 week video course is the class for you. The fee for the course is only $5 to cover the cost of the workbook. During the 6th class a professional plumber will be on hand to give hands on instruction and a demonstration. June 1- August 7

The Family Vision Library, located at 516 South Fifth Street in St. Charles, MO begins their popular Summer Reading Program which starts on June 1st and concludes on August 7th. Last year more than 250 children and adults participated. The rules are simple: Read books from The Family Vision Library and get fun prizes. Sign-up begins on Monday, June 1st when those who sign-up will pick-up their reading sheets and get started on a great reading adventure for the summer. June 6

Calvary Chapel Mid Rivers Campus, located at 3998 Mid Rivers Dr. in St. Peters, MO will host Focus on the Family’s Wait No More: Finding Families for Missouri’s Waiting Kids, which is designed specifically to recruit adoptive families for Missouri’s waiting kids in foster care.  It’s a clarion call for Missouri churches to minister to the orphans in their own backyard. The Focus event, to be held Saturday, June 6th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will bring together Missouri’s government, faith-based and adoption agency leaders to recruit adoptive families for Missouri’s waiting kids. After the program, participants will have the opportunity to interact on-site with representatives from Missouri adoption agencies and ministries.  They will also learn about next steps involved with the process and who to contact for additional information. The Family Vision Library will present another popular Children’s Story Hour from 10 to 11 a.m. with Diana Thrower as their guest presenter for the month of June. June 19

The Family Vision Library will host a Friday Night Singles Social-Coffee House-Discussion Group from 7 until 9 p.m.  This is open to young people 18 years old and up.  It will be a great way to meet other Christian young people and to engage the culture with a Christian Worldview. This will be fun and also informative.  The Family Vision is committed to multi-generational living and those that have graduated high school are the next generation to pass on the baton of sold-out living for Jesus.  There is a code of conduct as well as a dress code.
