The First Annual McGraw Milhaven Charity Golf Classic benefiting Christian Family Day (CFD) will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Norman K. Probstein Golf Course in St. Louis’ Forest Park. Come out and join McGraw, local celebrities and CFD board members for a fun day of golf, silent and live auctions, and dinner.

McGraw will be bringing his morning radio show, on the Big 550 KTRS, to the golf course interviewing guests live from 9 to 10 a.m. Registration will open at 9 a.m. giving everyone ample time to view the auction items and watch the live interviews. All proceeds from the golf classic will benefit the efforts of Christian Family Day to expand their charitable outreach throughout the year. CFD was formed in 1990 as a result of the vision of one woman, Mrs. Judy Boen. “I had a vision one day and just ran with it! I knew if it was supposed to be, God would help it along the way and He did just that.” CFD gives at-risk underprivileged children, children with life threatening illnesses and abused children the chance to do something they rarely get the opportunity to do – see a baseball game at Busch Stadium. Since its inception, over 35,000 sponsored children have sat in seats at Busch Stadium.

In November 2008, CFD made the decision to expand their charitable outreach program. With the expansion, CFD will be able to reach out to these children and their families; assisting and providing them with support; spiritually, physically, emotionally and financially throughout the year.

Tickets are now available for the 19th Annual Christian Family Day at Busch Stadium which will be held Saturday, June 27, 2009. CFD '09 will have an ‘Inter-league’ flavor as the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Minnesota Twins at 12:10 p.m. Following the game, you'll be treated to CFD's post-game festivities, featuring player testimonies, music from Christian recording artists NewSong and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ.
