The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday will be celebrated at a special community worship service on Monday, January 19, starting at 7 p.m. This special event, sponsored by eleven St. Charles churches will be hosted by St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at 601 North Fourth Street in St. Charles, MO. The worship service will celebrate the life of Rev. King and his great dream of a vibrant multi-racial nation united in justice, peace and reconciliation. January 22

Faith Community Christian High School (FCCHS) will hold an Open House at 7 p.m. at the school which is located at Calvary Fellowship Church, 1811 Smizer Station Rd. in Fenton, MO.  FCCHS is looking forward to its 3rd year of operation and parents and students are invited to attend to learn about the school’s biblically based curriculum and athletic program.  FCCHS strives to provide a quality Christian education at an affordable price.  The school is now taking appointments for prospective students to shadow a FCCHS student for a day.  You can contact Faith Community Christian High School at (636) 225-2217.  Please check out the school’s website at www.faithcommunitychs.org.

Chatham Bible Church, 6375 Howdershell Rd. in Hazelwood, MO, will host the Annual North County Pastors for Life Multi-Church Prayer and Worship Service from 7 to 8 p.m. for the Sanctity of Human Life.  This service is held each year on the sad anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision, Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in our nation. The service is led by a host of local Christian pastors from North County and includes worship/singing, corporate and individual prayer, and brief devotionals.  Child care will be provided for children under the age of 6.  There will be a reception to follow the service hosted by representatives of local life-affirming agencies, including Churches for Life. The Family Vision Library will host a Valentines Cake Walk from 12 until 2 p.m. Take a trip back to a simpler and sweeter time. Each participant gets to march around a circle to music and will stop on numbered squares – a winning square will be selected and that person will win a cake of their choice.  What a great time it will be.  Family Vision is of course in need of volunteers to bake some cakes for this cake walk.  Sign-up today to volunteer to bake and also to sign-up for the walk. The Family Vision Library will present a Children’s Valentines Story Hour from 10 until 11 a.m.  The theme for this month is Love. The Family Vision will host a Friday Night Singles Social/Coffee House/Discussion Group from 7 to 9 p.m. This is open to young people 18 years-old and up and will be a great way to meet other Christian young people and to engage the culture with a Christian Worldview. This will be fun and also informative.  The Family Vision is committed to multi-generational living and those that have graduated high school are the next generation to pass on the baton of sold-out living for Jesus.  There is a strict code of conduct as well as a dress code.
