Ultrasounds for Life is Saving Babies
By John McCastle,

The facts are in, and across America pregnancy centers are seeing
thousands of unborn babies saved from abortion due to the use of ultrasound
machines that allow the unborn to audition for their very own lives. The results vary from state to state, but the
average result is over 90% of women seeking to abort their babies choose life
for their child once they have seen the reality of their own baby via
ultrasound.
Current state of the art ultrasound machines can detect and display
an unborn beating heart five to six weeks after conception! This is one powerful tool and it is being used
to save the lives of the unborn and prevent moms and dads from making decisions
they would regret the rest of their lives.
Over the past three years I have had the opportunity to travel
overseas to assist pregnancy centers in South America, South Africa and Eastern
Europe. The outstanding work of these
pregnancy centers is incredible, especially considering they have very little
to work with when it comes to facilities, equipment and supplies. The critical tool they could be using,
ultrasound, is extremely rare due to the cost of the machines and
training. As a result of observing these
conditions, I sought the Lord for His direction on how to make a difference for
international centers and centers here in the
Ultrasounds for Life was created to provide a means of raising
the funds and recruiting donated ultrasound machines primarily to send to
pregnancy centers internationally, and secondarily to centers in the U.S. who
have very limited financial resources. Training is also part of Ultrasounds for Life,
with a professional ultrasound trainer available to the centers who receive
donated machines. During our first year,
three ultrasound machines were donated for international work. One machine has been placed in Honduras where
it is currently saving unborn lives; the other two are scheduled to be sent out
this spring: one to San Paulo, Brazil and the other to South Africa.
Ultrasounds for Life will assist non-profit pregnancy centers
throughout the United States and internationally to acquire ultrasound machines
and the training required to be able to legally and safely operate the machines
to provide their clients with free ultrasound services.
Ultrasounds for Life is a 501c 3, non-profit corporation and
therefore donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Individuals, church groups, businesses, and
foundations are able to designate their donations towards a specific pregnancy center
or as needed by our ministry. This
designation process not only helps donor’s to meet their donation objectives,
it’s a way to help a specific pregnancy center to encourage their own donors to
get involved in an ultrasound project.
