St. Louis County Ballot Issue Voting Recommendations
The following are Missouri Eagle Forum’s
recommends on how to vote on the judges as well as the State-wide ballot issues
and the ballot issues which will appear on the ballot in
Missouri Supreme Court
Patricia Breckenridge: Vote "NO" not to retain.
Court of Appeals - Eastern District
Robert Dowd, Jr. – Vote “Yes” to retain.
Circuit Judges - 21st Judicial District
Gary Gaertner, Jr. - Division 6 - Vote
“Yes” to retain.
Associate Circuit Judges - 21st Judicial District
Dale W. Hood - Division 34 - Vote “Yes” to
retain.
Douglas R. Beach - Division 43 - Vote “Yes” to
retain.
Circuit Judges - 22nd Judicial District
Julian Bush - Division 4 - Vote “Yes” to
retain.
David L. Dowd - Division 5 - Vote “Yes” to retain.
Stephen R. Ohmer - Division 8 - Vote “Yes” to retain.
Timothy Wilson - Division 23 - Vote “Yes” to retain.
Missouri Statewide Ballot Issues
Amendment 1 – Will make English the Official
Language of Missouri - VOTE “YES”
Amendment 4 – Will improve storm water control – VOTE “YES”
Proposition A – VOTE “NO”
Proposition A will expand gambling by removing the loss limits.
Proposition B – VOTE “NO”
Proposition B will create more
government beauracy and will unionize home health care workers.
Proposition C – VOTE “NO”
Proposition C will force utilities to cut services and employee compensation in order to meet the unreal mandates imposed by this proposition.
St. Louis County Specific Ballot Propositions
Missouri Eagle Forum recommends voting
“NO”
against all tax increases during times of economic crisis.
VOTE “NO” on the
Charter Commission - The current charter was written by a more
conservative county administration than the current administration. Now
is not the time to revise the Charter under the control of the current St.
Louis County Council.
Proposition 1 -
VOTE “NO” for the Community Children's Service Fund
Proposition 1 raises taxes at an
inopportune time for non-governmental functions.
Proposition I – VOTE “NO” for Improvements to
Proposition M - VOTE “NO”
- Public Transportation
Proposition M forces non-public
transportation users to subsidize services they don't use.
Proposition H - VOTE “NO”
- Use Tax
Proposition H targets small businesses
with a new tax.
