Back by popular demand, the Family Vision Library, located at 516 S. 5th St. in St. Charles, MO, will host their six-week video course entitled Introduction to Residential Electricity for Home Schoolers each Thursday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Presented by Bill Seamon and Eric Hovind, the course will provide a basic knowledge of wiring and the fundamentals of electricity suitable for ages 8 to 18. Gateway Christian Church, located at 1951 Des Peres Rd. in Town & Country, MO will host the first live Truth Project Training event simulcast starting at 8 a.m. Focus on the Family’s Sr. VP Del Tackett will be the featured speaker who will cover such topics as Understanding and Living the Christian Worldview, The Nature and Character of God, God’s Design for Life, Marrying Actions to Core Beliefs, and much more. The Family Vision Library, located at 516 S. 5th St. in St. Charles, MO, will present a special free workshop entitled Clobber Clutter hosted by Diana Thrower from 10 a.m. to noon.  Those attending this workshop will learn how to get the pack rat out of their home and life. October 3

The Young Artists outreach ministries' offers their Fall Painting Workshop entitled The Lord is My Shepherd in reflection of the 23rd Psalm. Scheduled for seven consecutive Fridays starting October 3rd at the Indian Trails Library from 10 a.m. to noon, registration is open but class size is limited to 15 students. October 3-4-10-11-12 

The Alpha Players of Florissant will be presenting Disney's musical classic Beauty and the Beast at the James J. Eagan Community Center in Florissant, MO. Show dates are Oct. 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th with performances beginning at 8 p.m. There will also be a matinee performance on Oct. 12th which starts at 2 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and students, and $10 for children. The Alpha Players of Florissant is celebrating its 50th year of providing quality live theatre to the St. Louis area. This seasons’ performances will be: Beauty and the Beast, Don't Drink the Water, and Murder on the Nile.

October 8 - November 12

The Family Vision Library, located at 516 S. 5th St. in St. Charles, MO, will host an Introduction to Algebra course for homeschoolers each Wednesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.  This six-week video presentation course will also have a hands-on instructor to guide your student into a solid introduction to algebra. There will be classroom work as well as work to complete at home. If your student is ready to make the step up in mathematics this class will be a good way to get started. Students should be proficient in multiplication, division and fractions. The class will be limited to 20 students in order for the instructor to better assist students. October 10

Summit Christian Church located at 1037 New Sugar Creek Rd. in Fenton, MO will host a seminar entitled Parenting with Promise from 7 to 9 p.m. The seminar will be presented by Michael Miller, Professional Christian Counselor who will talk on timeless parenting principles and skills to help raise children. October 11

The Unborn Protection League will hold a demonstration of solidarity in support of our most defenseless citizens – the unborn – between 9:30 and 11 a.m. at 4251 Forest Park Ave. in St. Louis. Join them as they pray, sing hymns and ask God for forgiveness for our nation for allowing the slaughter of the unborn to continue. October 26

Central Presbyterian Church located at 7700 Davis Dr. in Clayton, MO along with ThriVe St. Louis, which operates the Pregnancy Resource Centers and their Best Choice program which is helping teenagers in middle and high schools to understand the truth about sex and empowering them to save sex for marriage, will co-host an evening with Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse the author of Smart Sex: Finding Life-Long Love in a Hook-Up World from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Dr. Morse will speak, answer questions from the audience, and visit with attendees at an informal reception immediately following the event. October 31

The Family Vision Library, located at 516 S. 5th St. in St. Charles, MO, will host a family Reformation Movie Night starting at 6:30 p.m. featuring the movie God’s Outlaw – The Story of William Tyndale. This is a classic story of how a single individual can change the world for good. Spend Reformation Day at the Family Vision Library with popcorn, cake and coffee.
