Pro-Life Rally Report

By Christopher Earl

The Unborn Protection League, a local pro-life ministry, sponsored a fantastic event on Saturday August 2nd that was envisioned by “our dear friend and fellow pro-lifer, Brother Lee Hartley. His vision was simple: Gather 30-35 saints willing to dress in red, and stand along the outside of the fence at Planned Parenthood with arms outstretched, holding hands in silent unity symbolizing the unheard cries of the wee ones that are being slaughtered daily at this place allowing passers-by to relate to the personhood of the pre-born who are being murdered by abortion”, says Mrs. Jenni Leefe of the Unborn Protection League.

The day started early for those of us who had planned and were sponsoring this gathering of the saints that was to begin in just a few hours out in front of the Planned Parenthood facility at 4251 Forest Park Ave. Arriving at 6 a.m. were Mrs. Leefe of the Unborn Protection League, pastor Lee Hartley, myself and my sons Christian and Seth.  We worked feverishly setting up the area outside the pre-born child killing center with signs depicting the horror of abortion, sketching infant size corpse outlines on the sidewalk, placing crime scene tape outside the entrance to the killing center and positioning a trash can at the entrance to show where the remains of the precious little ones who were to be butchered later today would end up.

As the morning wore on, the set up was completed and around 9:30 a.m. a few saints began to trickle on to the sidewalk in front of the facility to pray and sing hymns, led by Mr. Robert Kruse and Pastor Lee Hartley. It was nice to see folks willing to give up a small portion of their Saturday to stand against an utter abomination to God our Father, the slaughter of the innocent.

“As the singing began I sensed the sweet spirit of our Lord amongst us. As I called out to the men and women entering the killing center, I felt as though my words were being carried across the parking lot on the wings of angels” exclaimed Mrs. Leefe.

Mrs. Leefe, Mrs. Donna Earl and Pastor Lee Hartley called out to those entering the facility pleading with them not to go through with the assassination of their child. They offered information on the reality of what they were about to have done to their child and for where they can get assistance for the mother and child if the mother will carry and birth the child instead of having its life barbarically and mercilessly terminated.

“Children are being murdered on our watch, and we, as a Church, have been apathetic to their silent cries. If we, as the Body of Christ would take a stand against this heinous crime, it would end almost immediately. Abortion in America will end when the Church of Jesus Christ decides it will end, and not one moment sooner” Mrs. Leefe passionately states.

The event sponsors, The Unborn Protection League, would like to thank everyone who attended and recognize Cletus and Sue Kiefer of Church Without Walls Pro-Life USA for their provision of the public address system used during the event and for taking pictures to commemorate the event.

All glory, honor and praise to our Father in heaven and may it be His will to move the Church into massive action against this most heinous, deplorable injustice.
