With the 2008 Primary Elections only days away, I thought it would be important for readers to know which candidates have been endorsed and which candidates have not been endorsed by various organizations. Although no one should vote exclusively based upon an endorsement by any organization, endorsements are extremely helpful particularly when you examine the organization which is doing the endorsing.

In this section you’ll find a cross section of what I call “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” organizations. The Good have a history of trustworthiness to traditional pro-family values voters. They include Missouri Right to Life, Eagle Forum of Missouri, Concerned Women for America of Missouri, Missourians United for Life, and the Missouri Republican Assembly. The Bad include the endorsements of the AFL-CIO and the Missouri State Teachers Association because labor organizations fail to be balanced with small business, taxpayer’s and parent's concerns. And, last but not least, The Ugly. The Ugly represent the antithesis of pro-family, conservative, Christian world view values. The groups listed include the Missouri Progressive Vote Coalition (a group of groups), the Missouri Chapter of the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL), The National Women’s Political Caucus of Metro St. Louis and the Missouri Republican Leadership Council.

Readers will note that a lot of the organizations listed did not have complete endorsement lists available at the time we had to go to press.  I’m sure by the time the November General Election rolls around those with partial lists will have complete lists.

Readers should also note that this section is by no means a comprehensive list of endorsing organizations nor does it reflect all endorsements which candidates listed may or may not have received from various organizations.

My prayer is that readers will find the information contained in this section helpful when deciding which candidates to vote for in the Primary Elections.
