St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and School, 500 Meramec Blvd. in Eureka, MO will host their 7th Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser at Meramec Lakes Golf Course to benefit the church’s school and other local charities. For details, see their ad in this issue of the MetroVoice.

First Baptist Church of Arnold, 2012 Missouri State Rd. in Arnold, MO will host a week of non-stop action entitled Outrigger Island from 6 to 9 p.m. each day where families can learn how to live God’s unshakeable truth. By the end of the week you will have learned what it means to know, speak, and live the truth.  In this one-week adventure, you will hear Bible stories, participate in cool crafts, motivating music, eat snacks at the Snack Shack, and play games at Recreation Reef. June 27

The 11th Annual Old Fashioned Independence Day Celebration, sponsored by Missouri 2nd Congressional District Congressman Todd Akin and his family will be held at the Akin residence on Conway Hill Rd. in Creve Coeur, MO starting at 6:30 p.m. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to bring a main dish and, either a salad or dessert to share, and a lawn chair or blanket for the festivities. The Family Vision Library, located at 516 S. 5th Street in St. Charles, MO will host a Family BBQ and Down Home Music Festival from 5 to 8 p.m. to kick-off the 4th of July weekend. During this important time they want to have their library friends and families come and enjoy the freedom that the Lord has blessed us with. To help make this a memorable time the Library is seeking volunteers to help with the food and clean-up. The St. Louis Christian 2008 Freedom Fair will be held at the El Shaddai Christian Ranch in Moscow Mills, MO from 12 p.m. until after a huge fireworks display that night. July 9 – August 13

The Family Vision Library, located at 516 S. 5th Street in St. Charles, MO will host a six-week video course entitled An Introduction to Residential Plumbing presented by Bill Seamon and Eric Hovind. Classes will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon each Wednesday for six weeks for children ages 8 and up. There will be a $5 fee for the workbook. The 18th Annual Christian Family Day at Busch Stadium begins at 12 noon in Kauffman Park where some 3,200 at risk children will be treated to a carnival atmosphere of fun, food and games along with the Gospel message followed by a 2:55 p.m. baseball game between the San Diego Padres and the St. Louis Cardinals. After the game CFD kicks into high gear with praise and worship music by Casting Crowns, special guest speaker Evangelist Tony Nolan and Cardinal & Padre players giving their testimonies. July 25

The Family Vision Library, located at 516 S. 5th Street in St. Charles, MO will host a ReTrO Family Movie Night beginning at 6:30 p.m. showing six short films. The first will be three short children’s stories from the 1950’s Moody Bible Series entitled Mr. Fixit; then from 1961 The Gospel Blimp and concluding the evening the 1986 Christiano Brothers film The Daylight Zone.
