Dare 2 Share to Train St. Louis

Survivors February 8-9, 2008

By Jen McCullough

Dare 2 Share Ministries International (D2S) is bringing its annual Survive Student Conference Tour to the Scottrade Center in St. Louis February 8th and 9th.

Survive will equip an estimated 10,000 area teenagers to live strong and stand firm in a culture of fear due to global and personal uncertainty. This weekend will also train students to implement a survival process that provides them with hope and victory. As part of the training process, teens will participate in an outreach on Saturday afternoon, where they will canvass area neighborhoods and collect some 29 tons of food for Sunshine Ministries of St. Louis.

Teenagers will be trained with practical tools to help them face every imaginable life issue.  This year’s conference will present teens with: an outlook on how to deal with money and possessions; a practical action plan for sexual purity; the 10 defining characteristics of God and how each of these attributes can change their lives forever; and a big picture view of prophecy.
This youth conference features a full-production drama, powerful worship led by Lincoln Brewster, sessions with hands-on training and interactive games, music by The Washington Projects, the aforementioned outreach experience, and a celebration concert with nationally-recognized recording artist Hawk Nelson. The speaking and teaching will be led by Greg Stier, president and founder of D2S, Derwin “Dewey” Gray, former NFL Pro Bowl nominee for the Indianapolis Colts, and Zane Black, instructor at Timberline Lodge, a torchbearer school in Winter Park, Colorado.

For those not familiar with Dare 2 Share, they are a non-profit organization that was founded in 1991 which is headquartered in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.  D2S is best known for its intense, annual training conferences that are held nationally for teenagers.  The ministry is also responsible for training programs and resources that cater to both adults and students. This organization is primarily a church-assisting ministry that is not affiliated with any particular denomination and lives by its mission of energizing and equipping teens to know, live, share, and own their faith.
