A Teen CBS Creation Science Exam

As the Teaching Director of the St. Louis Teen Community Bible Study class (CBS), I find it a privilege to teach God’s Word
to high school age students who have a desire to grow in the grace and knowledge
of our Lord Jesus Christ. Not only
do I get to teach, but I learn a great deal from our students. Teen CBS’ mission
is to make disciples of Jesus Christ in our communities-through caring, in-depth
Bible study available to all.
Every
year we go through a chapter by chapter study of a book of the Bible. This past year we studied Revelation and this September we will
begin the book of Acts. We invite any

We
recently did a special teaching on the subject of Creation Science based around
the following University Exam. How well do you know what the Bible says about God’s creation and our
origins? Are you able to give reasoned answers to the evolutionary world
view? Evolutionary thought has invaded
our culture, morals, schools and laws. Jude
tells us in verse three “to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for
all delivered to the saints.” And 1 Peter
3:15 commands us “to be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a
reason for the hope that is in you…”

5:4 states that Adam and Eve had sons and daughters. The effects of the fall had not yet
compromised the marrying of relations.
(The prohibition to do so wasn’t given until Moses.)
#3. “E” – Piltdown Man was a deliberate
fraud. Nebraska Man was actually a pig’s
tooth and used as evidence in the Scopes Trial.
Java Man is now considered fully human.
Ramapithecus is an extinct orangutan.
#4. “F”- Archaeopteryx is a bird and reveals no sign of scale to
feather or limb to wing transition. The
horse evidence is misrepresented. Human
embryos do not go through evolutionary stages.
Mutations never add information and you still end up with a fruit fly.
#5. “False” - The Bible shows the earth was created before the sun. The Big Bang cannot explain how matter, time,
energy and space originated.
#6. “C” - The Law
of Entropy shows that energy decreases and systems move to disorder.
#7. “D” – The
geological column is not found in our earth.
It was created based on evolutionary assumptions and is used to confirm
evolutionary findings.
#8. “False”-
Microevolution (adaptations within species) is observed and normal for survival. Evolution showing change from one species to
another is not observed.
#9. “False”- The
fossil record is an embarrassment for the evolutionist. There should be tens of thousands of
transitional fossils found. Darwin said
there was no fossil evidence yet available and none has come to light.
#10. “D” – The
Tower of Babel led to the dispersion of man into isolated groupings wherein
normal genetic tendencies became dominant.
The curse of Ham as referring to darker peoples is unbiblical.
#11. “False”- However, evolution teaches that
Stone Age men were a step in evolutionary progress, when in fact, we know that
“Stone Age men” were fully human and dwelt in caves immediately following the
flood and subsequent Ice Age.
#12. “False” – Evolution and Creation both have the
same evidence but the difference lies in the interpretation of that
evidence. True science is based on
observable and repeatable phenomena.
Evolutionists are biased to a naturalistic view of the world, which is
based on faith not science. We don’t
prove the Bible by evidence; we use
the truth of God’s Word to explain the evidence.
#13. “C” – The Hebrew word “Yom” when used with a
number or with “evening and morning” always refers to an ordinary 24 hour day.
#14. “F” – These
theories are postulated as “proof” of evolution, none of which are scientific
or provable. Punctuated equilibrium was
Stephen J. Gould’s resurrection of the “hopeful monster” theory. Embryonic recapitulation has been
scientifically been proven false, despite constantly reappearing in
textbooks. Panspermia teaches that
aliens “seeded” the earth. And
spontaneous generation of life has not been accomplished even when guided by
intelligence in the laboratory.
#15. “No” – Carbon 14 and other types of radiometric
dating ‘assume’ the earth is billions of years old and ‘assume’ that all
chemical functions are constant. Carbon
14 is only reliable for dating within a few thousand years and radiometric
dating often gives millions of years old dates on newly formed rock.
#16. “F” - All of the above. Evolution assumes that man is the measure of
all things and that everything is evolving, therefore he can make up his own
rules and change them at his will.
#17. “D” - The
flood of Noah. The flood was caused in part by severe volcanic activity (“the
fountains of the great deep were opened up”) which would have sent warm water
vapor over land that had been cooled by volcanic ash blocking the
sunlight. There is only evidence for one
Ice Age that probably lasted about 700 years.
#18. “No” –
Evolution has no explanation for natural selection creating such creatures with
unique traits. They were simply designed
by God to do what they do.
#19. “B” - Noah
would only have had to have taken two of every “kind”; two of the dinosaur
kind, two of the dog kind, etc.
#20. “False” - Darwin reasoned that “males are more
evolutionarily advanced than females” and that “the child, the female, and the
senile white (all had the intellect and nature of a “grown up Negro.” Aborigines, Pygmies, Blacks and other
non-white races were discriminated against and abused by evolutionists under
the justification of “favored races.”
#21. “False” - Even modern science has concluded
that there is no such thing as race.
Genetics reveals that there is no more that .2% difference between any
two people and that so-called “major differences” (eye shape, skin color,
etc.,) only account for 6% of the .2%.
#22. “False” - Living fossils are evidence that
evolution does not occur as several hundreds of so-called extinct species have
been found to exist today.
#23. “F” -
None of the above. Adaptation and
Natural Selection occur within species only as favorable traits are passed on. Theistic evolution is incompatible with the Bible’s teaching of no death or sin
before the “fall.”
#24 “E” – All of the above. Human history records many encounters with
dinosaurs throughout the world. The Bible teaches that dinosaurs were
created on day 6 with mankind. Job 40: 15-19; Is 27:1; Ps 74:13; Is 30:6 are a few biblical examples of
dinosaurs in the Bible.

sound reasoning for the truth and accuracy of Genesis 1-11. I would highly recommend that readers visit the Answers
