Glad Tidings Church located at 4180 Smelting Works Road in
Swansea, IL. will host a children’s Beyond the Gold
MEGA Sports Camp June 25th through June 29th each day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for
kids in first through sixth grades. Children will have the chance to learn more
about sports, discover character-building concepts, and learn God’s great love

The Rock Church, located at 2153 Sam’s Drive next to Sam’s Wholesale in Des Peres, MO invites children ages 3 to 11 to
a Quest for Truth where they find out
that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Each day kids will sing, dance,
play team-building games, participated in Bible-learning activities, nibble on
theme related snacks they’ve made with their own hands and visit dig sites to
remind them of God’s Word. Activities Monday through Thursday will be from 6:30
to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend and

Missouri Congressman Todd Akin will host his 10th Annual Old
Fashion Independence Day Celebration starting at 6:30 p.m. (See ad on page 3 in
this issue of the MetroVoice for details.)
July 1
South County Bible Church, 4111 Von Talge
Rd. in St. Louis will celebrate July 4th on Sunday, July 1st at 10:15 a.m.
featuring The Harmons in concert. This great
family of five is well known in the St. Louis and Alton, Illinois areas for
their Bluegrass music. Also, on Sunday, July 15 at 10:15 a.m. the church will
be welcoming Dr. John Anderson, president of Appalachian Bible College,
Bradley, West Virginia to their pulpit to deliver a message. Call for more

Celebrate our
Nation’s Independence and Give Thanks to the Lord!
July 19, 20 & 21
Broadway on the Driveway, a local Christian theatre company,
will present Rodgers' and Hammerstein's Cinderella
at the Dale Williams Fine Arts Center and Pillsbury Chapel (located on the
campus of Missouri Baptist University, 1 College Park Dr.). Performances on
July 19th & 20th will be held at 7 p.m. The performance on July 21st will
begin at 3 p.m. Prior to the performances there will be a Little Prince and
Princess Reception from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. on July 19th & 20 and from 1:30
to 2:15 p.m. on July 21st. Children ages 12 and under are invited to these
receptions to meet Prince Charming and Cinderella as well as enjoy
refreshments, story time with the Fairy Godmother, a waltzing lesson, backstage
tour, and autographed photo
of Prince Charming and Cinderella. Royal attire is encouraged, but not
necessary and reservations are limited. There is no cost to attend the
performances of Cinderella but there is a cost of $20 per child to attend the
receptions and children attending the receptions must be accompanied by a

Our Lady of Providence located near the intersection of Rock
Hill and Pardee Rds. in St.
Louis will be holding a rummage sale on July 28th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on
the 29th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Items, including furniture, household appliances,
tools, baby and children clothing, toys, books, art and collectables, will be
priced to sell! Baked goods and refreshments will also be available. For more
