The One-Of-A-Kind Creation Museum

By Ken Ham, President of Answers in Genesis

The Creation Museum near Cincinnati – less than a 6-hour drive from downtown St. Louis -- is the first of its kind in the world. Using state-of-the-art technology, this “walk through biblical history” -- covering the cosmological, biological, geological, and anthropological history of the universe – will offer families several startling exhibits dealing with the controversial topic of the Bible and science.

As they stroll through, guests will experience four theatres (including a cutting-edge Special Effects Theatre), a Planetarium (with the latest Digistar projection system), animatronic dinosaurs and human figures, over 50 professionally produced videos, dioramas, waterfalls, kiosks, world-class fossil displays, a Noah’s Ark-themed café, and even a bookstore with a medieval castle theme.

Families will walk through the history of the world as recorded in the book of Genesis and the rest of the Bible. They will experience true history, as opposed to what is presented in the St. Louis Science Center, where, for example, visitors are told that dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago in evolutionary history.
As well as the experiential exhibits, guests will be given answers to today’s questions posed by skeptics concerning the Bible’s account of creation, the global Flood, the Tower of Babel, and the Gospel message -- through videos, signage, theatres, and audio presentations.

Visitors will walk through the Grand Canyon, the history of the Bible, the Garden of Eden, a scene of the creation of Adam and Eve, the cave of sorrows and corruption valley (the Fall), and into a startling exhibit where they will experience walking through Noah’s Ark. Guests will then stroll into a world that was greatly affected by the Flood of Noah’s day—and then into Babylon to understand the dispersion of the different people groups—then into Jerusalem and into a high-tech theatre where the Christian Gospel is presented on a large screen (with a dynamic video presentation filmed specially for this presentation).

The museum tour concludes near the Palm Plaza (with a striking Egyptian theme), and while there, visitors can obtain even more answers from the Bible through the plaza’s kiosks and additional exhibits, and also enter the world of dinosaurs.

In a large two-story dinosaur exhibit, guests will view fossil dinosaur bones and eggs, and then ascend to a catwalk to view a collection of life-size model dinosaurs. The dragon theatre below, with a unique video presentation on dragons and dinosaurs (filmed on site at a real English castle), is the last stop before entering the hands-on children’s area. Finally, guests conclude their visit to the medieval castle-themed bookstore.

But there’s even more!  Outside, and around a beautiful three-acre lake, is outstanding landscaping: waterfalls, picnic pavilions, pergolas, a large carnivorous plant bog, rainforest exhibit, a T. Rex topiary, a variety of bridges (including a large suspension bridge and a floating bridge), other gardens, and nature trails – all on 49 acres. Truly, the Creation Museum (a $27 million project) will give families a unique experience not available anywhere else in the world.    For more information on this unique evangelistic and Bible-upholding center, to open May 28, go to www.AnswersInGenesis.org, and then plan to make the drive east to see us.
