May 4 - National Day of Prayer

On this day, we seek to unite as one body in Christ as one nation under God to pray for our leaders and to repent and ask for God's forgiveness, guidance and blessing for our nation. Join citizens at the Jefferson County Library, 5680 State Rd. May 6

Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church, 1230 Big Bend Rd. in Ballwin, MO will host a Share Your Faith Workshop from Evangelism Explosion International to better equip Christians to share the Gospel. The workshop begins at 9 a.m. concluding at 4:30 p.m. and includes a lunch. The cost to attend is $25 until April 24th. After that date the cost is $35. Scholarships are available upon request. May 6

A benefit gospel music concert featuring The Anderson Brothers, N' Praise, The Born Again Gang, Carol Howe and Karen Carr will be held at the House of Praise Church located in Desloge, MO starting at 7 p.m.  All proceeds will go toward un-paid funeral and medical bills for LaDonna Akers Mitchell that she incurred with her battle with breast cancer.  Concessions will be available and Gift baskets will be raffled.  For more information call (573) 766-1405.

 

May 13

The Pregnancy Resource Centers of Greater St. Louis (PRC) will hold their annual Walk4Life fund raising event at Creve Coeur Park in Creve Coeur, MO with registration beginning at 8 a.m. A new event, a 6-mile Run4Life, will begin at 8:30 a.m. to start the day’s festivities with the 2-mile Walk4Life starting at 10 a.m. There will be lots of fun and games for those not running going on from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. Individuals can be involved in several ways: sponsor a walker; run or walk themselves and raise money from pledges; donate directly to the Walk4Life by coming by or by donating from the secured PRC website. This event will be held rain or shine. PRC touched over 10,000 lives in 2005 and has served St. Louis and surrounding areas for over 20 years. For more information about PRC call (314) 3040 ext. 227. May 18-20

Dardenne Presbyterian Church, 7400 Highway N. in O’Fallon, MO will host performances of Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical Oklahoma performed by the all homeschooled cast of LifeLight Youth Theatre. Each nights performance will begin at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $4 for children ages 3-17. Group rates for 20 or more are available for $4 each.
