December 31

Christians...After Dark will host a New Years Eve celebration for single Christian adults from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the Kirkwood Community Center in the East Gym. Christians...After Dark is a city-wide, inter-denominational fellowship of single adult believers of Jesus Christ in the metro St. Louis area. There will be a DJ, guest speaker, praise & worship time, games, attendance prizes, food and God-honoring fun! Tickets are $10 in advance/$15 at the door. January 4 - March 29
West County Assembly of God, 13431 N. Outer 40 Rd. just off the Hwy. 40 Maryville Exit in Chesterfield, MO will be hosting Dr. James Walter in a series of seminars entitled Culture Wars-Spiritual Wars.  The seminars will present an understanding of various secular viewpoints on a wide range of cultural subjects and provide a biblical apologetic for responding to those viewpoints.  The curriculum will cover 9 topics in a twelve week period. Of special interest this year will be a two-part presentation on the Sanctity of Life with special emphasis on stem cell research and cloning. Other topics will include: creation/evolution, consumerism, the new/old spiritualism, marriage, Sunday Christians, understanding naturalism, and clarifying postmodern thought.  Materials will be posted on a website and most class time will be spent discussing anecdotes, analyzing, articles, and other interactive activities. There will be a small fee for materials, including a three-ring binder. Twin Rivers Worship Center, 10575 Tesson Ferry Rd. in St. Louis, MO will host Bill Prichard, CSA as he presents Financial Decision Making starting at 7 p.m. (Financial Fridays are held the 2nd Friday of each month to discuss better ways of handling finances and there is no charge to attend.) January 14

The Concordia Seminary Pro-Life Group is sponsoring a seminar/workshop entitled Making Abortion Unthinkable.  The workshop on Saturday, January 14, in Sieck Hall 202 on the Seminary campus will begin with registration from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and will conclude promptly at 2:30 pm.  The learning will include video-based presentations as well as discussions segments; Dr. Jeff Gibbs, professor of New Testament at Concordia, will serve as the moderator for the workshop.  Each participant will also receive a helpful manual of materials. The annual Pro-Life Prayer Service and Rally will be held at the State Capitol in Jefferson City, MO beginning at 11 a.m. Wendy Wright, Executive Vice President for Concerned Women for America, will be among the speakers.  

 

January 22

Missouri Right to Life (MRL) will hold a rally at the foot of the St. Louis Arch starting at 8:30 a.m. prior to the MRL bus caravan to Washington D.C. for the annual March for Life.  For more information call (314) 961-7274.

 

January 25 

A Property Rights Day will be held in the first floor rotunda of the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City, MO starting at 11 a.m. This will be a great opportunity to show our lawmakers how important property rights are to Missouri voters.  Let your voice be heard!  For more information, call Bev Ehlen at (636) 932-4496.

 

January 27
