Free seminars to show how to be debt free

“Every time a credit card is used and the balance is not be paid off when the statement arrives, that person is lowering his standard of living,” says Harold Herring, President and Co-Founder of the Debt Free Army. “And that means too many Americans are living from paycheck to Prozac,” he added.

Herring will be conducting two Financial Freedom seminars in the Greater St. Louis area on Thursday, October 20th and Saturday, October 22nd.

“Paying interest is making somebody else rich off your money. A person’s financial freedom is not based on how much they make, but how little they owe. That’s why the only way to become debt free is to have a plan,” Herring explained.

“I’m so fed up with all the television advertisements where people are told to call a certain telephone number if they want to become debt free. Ninety-nine percent of these advertisements are designed to lure unsuspecting consumers into a debt consolidation loan that is making the lender lots of money,” Herring added.

When asked the effect of debt on consumers, Herring stated, “Debt and money disagreements are listed as the main reasons for over 50% of all the divorces in first-time marriages and over 70% of the divorces in second marriages.”

The Debt Free Rallies are offered free of charge. During the meetings, Herring teaches how to pay off mortgages in seven years or less, power strategies to save money on utilities, insurance, and banking services. He gives insight on how to pay off credit cards rapidly, how to get the best price on a new or pre-owned car, questions to ask when selecting a bank, twenty practical ways to save big money and the Biblical way to get out of debt.

The Thursday, October 20^th event will be held at the 4 Points Sheraton located at 319 Fountain Parkway, Fairview Heights, IL from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with an early reception of hors d’ oeuvres from 6 to 6:45 p.m. for those coming straight from work.

The Saturday, October 22nd event will be held at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel, 7730 Bonhomme Ave. in St. Louis from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Someone will receive $500 to pay on their debt.
