The Music Department of Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis will hold scholarship auditions for the 2006-2007 school year beginning at 2 p.m.  The auditions are part of their Fall Campus Visit Day for information regarding academics, admissions, and financial aid.  Students wishing to audition for a music scholarship should contact the MBU Fine Arts Division at (314) 744-5307 or by email at powellja@mobap.edu to arrange an audition time.  Singers, keyboardists, and all instrumentalists are invited to attend the Visit Day and stay for the auditions.  Information on the audition process can be obtained by contacting the Fine Arts office or by consulting the MBU Music Scholarship audition webpage:

Concord Church, 13775 Tesson Ferry Rd. in St. Louis will host a seminar entitled Parenting with Purpose from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. featuring Paul A. Warren, M.D. who is a behavioral pediatrician and child & adolescent specialist. Dr. Warren is a member of the Physicians Resource Council of Focus on the Family. Life Chain Sunday – the opportunity to stand along Missouri’s highways and byways to stand against the murder of unborn children. Check with your church to find out if there is a Life Chain being formed.

Citizens Against Pornography and the Jefferson County American Family Association will be sponsoring a panel discussion from 9 a.m. till noon at First Baptist Church of Festus/Crystal City located at 107 Truman Blvd (US Hwy. 61/67) in Crystal City, MO. Panelists will include Patrick Fleming who is a professional counselor, Jim Venice founder of Pure Heart Ministries and Donna Hearne president of Mothers Against Sexual Exploitation. Registration will be from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and refreshments will be served along with a complimentary lunch at noon. There is no cost to attend. For more information call (314) 892-6451.
