St. Paul's Evangelical Church FOCUS Youth of Creve Coeur will sponsor a BBQ from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to benefit the group’s summer mission trip. The BBQ will be held in the Advance Auto Parts parking lot located on the corner of Dorsett and McKelvey Rd. in Maryland Heights, MO. Menu includes ribs, rib tips, pork steaks, chicken, bratwurst, cheeseburgers, hamburgers and hot dogs along with apple sauce, potato salad, slaw, baked beans and chips. Hope Congregational Church, 4200 Brown Rd. in St. Louis, MO will host a Junior Christian Youth In Action Overnight Training Event sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) of Greater St. Louis from Friday at 6:30 p.m. through Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Young people who have completed 6th and 7th grade are encouraged to take part in the event which is designed for those who would be willing to give three weeks out of their summer to be a helper in the 5-Day Club ministry throughout the Greater St. Louis area. The Cost is $55 per attendee for the Overnight Training. The Greater St. Louis Pregnancy Resource Centers will hold a toll-road style fundraiser entitled Life Savers Drive at multiple intersections throughout St. Louis County. Volunteers are needed. Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, 11300 St. Charles Rock Rd. at the intersection of Fee Fee Rd. and St. Charles Rock Rd. in Bridgeton, MO, will hold their 114th Annual Strawberry Festival from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. There will be loads of activities and lots of strawberry food – cakes, pies, chocolate dipped berries, milkshakes, ice cream and succulent fresh strawberries! Quilts, entertainment, group home tours, crafts will be plentiful with sales going to benefit the children of the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home.  Admission is free. The 2nd Annual Our Lady’s Inn Tee Off to Life fund raising golf tournament will be held at the Norman K. Probstein Golf Course in Forest Park in St. Louis starting at 1 p.m. Our Lady’s Inn is an emergency shelter for pregnant women in crisis that provides a safe refuge where women can learn how to care for themselves and their unborn children.
