Premier Productions presents Winter Jam 2005 featuring the Christian groups NewSong, TobyMac, Tait, Rachael Lampa, Matthew West, Building 429, and Chaos on Wheels in concert which will be held at the St. Charles Family Arena in St. Charles, MO beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door and a freewill offering will also be taken. Family Shield Ministries will host a seminar entitled Hope for Families in the President’s Room at Concordia Seminary, 801 Seminary Place in St. Louis, MO with registration beginning at 8:45 a.m. Featured speakers will include: the Rev. Roger Sonnenberg, of Arcadia, California who will present: The World of High Tech—Blessing or Curse?; the Rev. Gaylord and Pam Spilker of Edinberg, IL who will present Dealing with Alcoholism and Drug Abuse in the Home and Parish; and the Rev. Timothy Knapp of Bolton, MA who will present Bringing Christian Peace in Troubled Situations: How to Respectfully Intervene. The seminar will provide participants with diagnostic tools for discerning the intensity level of conflicts with strategies to intervene at every level. The participants will develop new ways to serve those in conflict whether in a church, in a family or in a personal relationship. Concordia Seminary students may attend free, but advance registration is required. Other participants pay $10. The 3rd Annual Operation Outcry Silent No More gathering to be held on the grand stair case of the Arch in downtown St. Louis beginning at 2 p.m. The event will feature men and women who have experienced abortions and who will be addressing attendees about the physical, emotional and spiritual pain of abortions.
