Faith & Freedom Petition Rally Largest in the Nation

November 22nd a new grassroots organization known as the National
Coalition

| to Restore
the Constitution (NCRC) held its first rally in the rotunda of the
Missouri State Capitol with over 1,000 Missouri
|

citizens
in attendance.
The rally, entitled
the Ten Commandments Faith &
Freedom Petition Rally, was one of 46 simultaneous NCRC sponsored
rallies held at state capitols around the nation. According to
reports received from coordinators of other rallies, Missouri’s
rally was the largest followed by Oklahoma
with an estimated 600 to 700 people in attendance.

Christmas Trampled Into a Hollow Holiday

I'm
not sure it's worth keeping Christmas anymore. Oh, it is fine
for  those
apparently dwindling numbers of us who still believe in the ‘original
cast’ of Jesus,
Mary and
Joseph, the Wise Men and the animals.
They, as any
post-Thanksgiving (not
to mention postmodern) shopper knows, have been replaced by the
road show of reindeer, winter scenes, elves and the God substitute,
Santa Claus, who serves as a front for merchants seeking to play
on the guilt some parents bear for ignoring their kids the rest
of the year.
