CWA’s Top Leadership to be in St. Louis January 17th

Concerned Women for America (CWA) is in the process of holding special conferences across the nation entitled A Time to Speak. The first such conference was held on October 18th in California and the second conference is scheduled

to be held here in St. Louis on January 15th and 17th.
Featured speakers at these conferences include CWA President, Sandy Rios, CWA’s   Chief Counsel, Jan LaRue, and Robert (Bob) Knight, Director of CWA’s Culture and Family   Institute. According to Missouri’s CWA State Director, Joey Davis, “This is a wonderful   opportunity for our leadership to meet and speak directly with the grassroots, pro-family, pro-life   folks of Missouri and surrounding states who are devoted to turning our nation away from its  present self-destructive path. Anyone and everyone who cares about their family and our nation needs to attend this conference to better equip themselves to make a difference in their community.

The Time to Speak conference will be held on Saturday, January 17th at the Hilton Frontenac Hotel, 1335 S Lindbergh Blvd., in Frontenac MO with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.  The cost to attend the conference will be $35, which includes lunch.

For those not familiar with CWA, Concerned Women for America is the nation's largest public policy women's organization which supports legislation at national and state levels to protect women, children and the family in general.

CWA President, Sandy Rios was in the forefront of the recent partial-birth abortion ban which was signed by President George W. Bush. Sandy says, "For 10 years the American people have refused to give up their fight for this legislation. This procedure kills an unborn child and endangers a woman's life."

Jan LaRue, Chief Counsel for CWA, is actively seeking diligent federal prosecution of obscenity.  She writes, "America has become a nation of pay-per-view peeping toms.  Voyeurism is an immensely profitable commodity as people spend millions watching other people have sex.  And filthy rich pornographers dupe the public with the myth that pornography is harmless and the sex industry is good for the economy."

Robert Knight, Director of CWA’s Culture and Family Institute, views marriage as the union of two sexes, one man and one woman.  He contends, "Marriage is of such importance that it is uniquely protected in the law and culture.  It predates the law and the Constitution, and is an anthropological and sociological reality, not primarily a legal one.  No civilization can survive without it and those societies that allowed it to become irrelevant have faded into history."

Don’t wait until the last minute to sign-up to attend this important conference. To register and find out more about the conference call CWA’s Area Director, Bev Ehlen, at (636) 932-4739.
