NATIONAL PORNOGRAPHY AWARENESS WEEK

Citizens Against Pornography (CAP), an interfaith community organization endeavoring to educate citizens on the problems and dangers of pornography, will be distributing white ribbons the weekend of October 25-26 to kick off their participation in Morality in Media’s White Ribbon Against Pornography Campaign (WRAP). November 3

November 3-5

The Missouri Southern Baptist Convention will hold its annual state-wide, three-day convention at the St. Louis Millennium Hotel (formerly the Regal Riverfront) beginning with their annual Pastor’s Conference the morning and afternoon of November 3rd.  This year’s special speakers include Dr. D. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, Dr. Albert Mohler, President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Roy Fish, Professor of Evangelism at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

 

November 6

Marco Fontanini from the House of Fontanini (Fontanini Heirloom Nativities of Bangni di Lucca, Italy) will be at the Catholic Supply Store, 6759 Chappewa in St. Louis from 4 to 7 p.m. to explain the art of making his heirloom nativity scenes and the processes it entails. Ferguson Church of the Nazarene,1309 North Elizabeth Ave. in Ferguson MO, will be the host of a new ministry entitled Grief to Glory to minister to those who have lost a loved one. A Christ centered support group open to all, the group will meet the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. The topic for the November 13th gathering will be Surviving the Holidays.
