Answers In Genesis

For those unfamiliar with Answers in Genesis, AiG is a ministry that is dedicated to restoring the foundations of the Christian faith found in the Word of God.

Over 20 years ago, Dr. Carl Wieland, Ken Ham and others saw that the church in their own country, Australia, was struggling and often compromising its biblical integrity in the face of the ever-increasing attacks from those hostile to Christianity. They realized that most Christians were not equipped to provide answers to a doubting world in a so-called age of science and discovered that most Christians today have been taught to think like the world, to start their thinking with the wisdom of man, rather than the truth contained in God's Word.  In response to these observations, they began speaking on creation/evolution issues—equipping the church to answer the skeptics, and encouraging the body of Christ to trust in the authority of God's Word.

Founded by Ken Ham in 1994, AiG is headquartered in Florence, Kentucky, just minutes from the Cincinnati airport.  Today, with offices in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK and the USA, AiG ministers to the Church around the world through speaking events, publications, and their web site (www.answersingenesis.org). They are also actively translating their materials and web site into other languages including Chinese, Danish, Italian, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Russian and Spanish.

Currently, AiG is in the process of building a 50,000 square foot Creation Museum based on biblical history. This 25 million dollar project is being built as funds come in without acquiring debt.  The steel is being raised with a projected completion date for the exterior of the building this coming October.  Lord willing, the inside, including a world class planetarium, nature trails, and over 60 life size sculptures of dinosaurs will be open within 3 years after the building is complete.

Carl Kerby is an air traffic controller at O'Hare International Airport.  He is also a founding board member for AiG and one of their most dynamic speakers on the Book of Genesis.  His presentations will focus on why Christians should even care about this issue.  He will motivate Christians to take their faith seriously and get excited about serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
