The following are the Missouri Right to Life Political Action Committee (MRL-PAC) candidate endorsements for the November 5, 2002 General Elections within the St. Louis MetroVoice readership area.

Each statewide candidate for elective office and those running for State Senate or State House seats were sent MRL surveys. Candidates for federal offices were surveyed by National Right to Life.

The survey questions focused on abortion issues, end-of-life issues, human cloning, embryonic stem cell research, the Equal Rights Amendment, and campaign finance reform.

Endorsements were determined by voting records for those who presently hold or previously held office; responses to National Right to Life’s or Missouri Right to Life’s candidate survey; interviews; public statements or record on pro-life issues; information from MRL members and other pro-life people in the districts.

MRL-PAC endorsements are given after careful consideration of the factors listed above. In some cases, endorsed candidates may have pro-life opponents that are not endorsed. Several situations may cause this to occur, but the two most common are: One, a pro-life incumbent is always given a single endorsement and two, a contested race may be won by an anti-life candidate if more than one pro-life candidate is endorsed. MRL-PAC asks that you vote only for those candidates that have been endorsed by MRL and National Right to Life, thus not causing the pro-life vote to be split among two or more candidates.

Listed after each candidate's name is their party affiliation, as well as whether they are incumbents seeking reelection. Party affiliations are indicated as (R) for Republican and (D) for Democrat. Incumbent candidates are indicated by a lower case, italicized, bolded "i" following their party affiliation.

Unlisted districts have no endorsements.
