Memorial Day weekend will start with a bang at the Creation
Museum located near Cincinnati!
It will be the one-year anniversary of the
opening of this amazing walk through biblical history.
Ten days of celebration
will start May 23, complete with a fantastic and colorful show
in the sky by Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks that evening.
Plan now to attend
as Answers in Genesis (AiG) commemorates how God has blessed this
Bible-proclaiming and
gospel-presenting museum (located just west of the Cincinnati
Airport and less than a six-hour drive from downtown St. Louis).
The ten days of fun include lots of exciting events for children
and adults! In addition,
on Memorial Day itself (May 26), the museum will honor our military
by offering free admission for both active and retired service
people.
A
Reason to Celebrate
God has given
plenty of reasons for AiG to rejoice over the first year of the
Creation Museum. Attendance
far exceeded expectations. Originally, they projected that 250,000
would visit the museum, however, as of early April this year,
about 360,000 people have already visited the museum and grounds
and the museum hasn’t even reached its one-year anniversary!
In addition, the world’s media have converged on this high-tech
center that uses animatronics, a planetarium, a special effects
theater, an incredible number of exhibits, a spectacular botanical
gardens and a whole lot more that shows that the Bible can be trusted from its very first verse.
The
museum staff rejoices even more in the testimonies they’ve received
of changed lives, strengthened faith, and renewed enthusiasm and
courage for sharing the good news of Christ.
A
Personal Testimony
My wife and
I visited the museum last September and I’ve got to tell you,
we were overwhelmed. It is one of the most God centered, incredibly
interesting, educational, and beautiful museums we have ever seen.
The museum was
designed by a former Universal Studios exhibit director and is
a state-of-the-art facility that brings the pages of the Bible
to life. It’s truly a fully engaging, sensory experience for the
entire family with tons of exhibits, murals, realistic scenery,
computer-generated visual effects, life-sized people and dinosaurs,
a special-effects theater complete with misty sea breezes and
rumbling seats, a wonderful restaurant, a terrific gift shop/bookstore
and a botanical garden that will knock your socks off. It’s a
museum that everyone in your family will enjoy and remember for
the rest of their lives. Believe me, I’ve been to a lot of museums
and there’s nothing like it on the face of the Earth.
